Hudson Harris

Rise Camp Founder and Organizer

Hudson is the founder of Rise Family Camp and is passionate about supporting families navigating a parent’s cancer journey. Inspired by his own experiences growing up, he created the camp to ensure that no child or family feels alone during such a challenging time.

He is currently studying Economics at Huron University College and volunteers as a soccer coach and political volunteer.

Hudson is excited to welcome families to this year’s Rise Family Camp and to help create a space for connection, support, and lasting memories.

Erica Harris

Rise Camp Counsellor, Health Coach, and Organizer

Erica Harris is the passionate founder of Rise Today Consulting at risetoday.com. She offers 5-day Health Coaching programs and serves as a TEDX Resilience Keynote speaker. Erica also hosted the sold-out 2025 Rise Today Health & Happiness Summit and the Rise Today Inspirational Podcast.

After her earlier experience in healthcare, working as a sports chiropractor and kinesiologist, her personal experiences, shaped by profound adversity, and returning to school to pursue a master’s in counselling psychology, she recently launched Rising Minds Counselling & Psychotherapy at risingmindsonline. Here, she offers compassionate and caring virtual therapy services to residents of BC and Ontario.

Erica is deeply committed to creating spaces of healing, connection, and hope for families impacted by cancer.

She is immensely proud to support her son, Hudson, in bringing the vision of the RISE Family Cancer Camp to life.

Ashleigh Gold, M.A., RCC

Rise Camp Counsellor

Ashleigh is a registered clinical counsellor who supports individuals and families through life’s challenges with warmth, compassion, and practical guidance. She brings over 20 years of experience as a school counsellor, teacher, and youth coach, along with her perspective as a parent of three teenagers.

She attended Rise Family Camp last year, facilitating parent group sessions, and is grateful to return for a second year. Ashleigh’s approach is values-based and trauma-informed, helping people move through difficult experiences with greater clarity, resilience, and connection.

Sandra Singer

Rise Camp Child Counsellor

Sandra is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) who supports children, teens, and their parents through significant life transitions, including grief and loss.

She brings over 13 years of experience working in schools and private practice. Sandra integrates creative approaches with cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to help young people process emotions, build resilience, and feel safe during times of change.

Sandra works closely with parents, offering practical tools to strengthen family connections and navigate transitions together.

Sandra attended Rise Family Camp last year, where she facilitated creative workshops designed to help families create meaningful, lasting memories. She is grateful to return for a second year.

Keyvan Hadad, MD, FRCPC

Onsite Doctor

Keyvan is a pediatrician based in Vancouver with a deep commitment to supporting children and families. He had the privilege of participating in camp last year and was profoundly moved by the strength, joy, and connection shared among campers. He is grateful to return and be part of such a meaningful experience.
